Accelerate Membrane Development for Urban Sewage Purification

inge AG (INGE)
http://www.inge.ag 86926 Greifenberg
Flurstraße 17
Germany

The company holds patents for different types of membranes, from pressure driven hollow-fiber to reinforced fibre and multichannel submerged technology. The patented `Multibore® membrane is the technological front-runner in the field of polymer membranes due to its unique `7-capillary-structure` which provides 100% security against fiber breakage. With an autoportable flat sheet membrane inge AG will develop a breakthrough concept of MBR modules.

inge AG is located in Greifenberg (near Munich) in Germany and was founded in the year 2000. The company manufactures and sells ultrafiltration membranes and modules for the purification of drinking, industrial and waste water. The advantage of this innovative technology compared to conventional water treatment methods: the extremely small pores of the membrane filter reliably reject even the smallest viruses, bacteria and particles - thus providing clean, germ-free drinking water. Compared to competitive membrane processes the Multibore® membrane virtually eliminates fibre breaks which is often the cause of viral and bacterial breaktrough in more traditional single bore membranes.Especially for countries that are fast developing (e.g. China, India) as well as for municipalities in areas like Europe or USA that have to comply with the strict regulations of the drinking water rules, the modules of inge AG provide a promising and cost-efficient solution. The company presently employs 45 people and has offices in USA and China.
